Typical Day

Nothing to exciting to report today. The kids had preschool and I spent the morning getting pampered at the salon. It was time to get my hair cut and colored. It was nice and relaxing. This afternoon, I got a mini concert from the kids. They sang me some songs "from school." I think they were just made up, but it was a very good time. They even sang to my mom on the phone.

Lindsey was asking today about Thanksgiving. One of her friends at school told her that he is going to his grandma's house for Thanksgiving vacation. She asked if we could go on vacation for Thanksgiving too. Right now, we have no plans to travel until Christmas when we go to Ohio. So, I told her that we will spend Thanksgiving with people who are special to us and that seemed to pacify her. I think some of the other Caterpillar families in Franklin are planning to get together and celebrate the holiday together. We did this a few years ago and it was really nice for us to all have each other since we don't have family in the area.

I'm leaving tomorrow for a Scrapbooking Retreat, so Wayne will be playing "Mr. Mom." I'll only be gone for 2 days, but I'm really looking forward to it. I attended this retreat in the spring and had the best time. I also got a lot done in the kids scrapbooks. I'm hoping to get their books caught up this time and start a wedding album for Wayne and I.
