We're Okay

I thought I better do a quick post so no one is out there worrying about us. Things have been a bit unpredictable and crazy the past few weeks. We took our vacation to Florida and had a fantastic time. The weather was great and the trip was very relaxing. At the end of our trip, we ended up buying a new vehicle, which was very unexpected. We now own a Honda Odyssey minivan. We got rid of the Tahoe I've been driving. With a 3rd kid due soon, we really needed more space and the van will get better gas mileage too. It was a spur of the moment thing as the dealer gave us a deal to good to pass up.

We were only home overnight when we received news that Wayne's Great Uncle Dale had passed away from a stroke. Then, the very next morning, we received more bad news that another member of the same family, Wayne's Uncle Bill, had passed away from a heart attack. Within hours we were back in the car and heading to Ohio. It was a very sad and difficult week for the entire family. Losing two members of their family, unexpectedly, within such a short amount of time. But, we can find comfort in the fact that they were both strong men of God and will live with the Lord for eternity. We returned home from Ohio late Thursday night exhausted, emotionally drained and with two sick kids.

Friday, I spent the morning at the pediatricians office. It appears that Lindsey had a sinus infection and Connor had strep throat. They both began antibiotics and Lindsey a strong decongestant.

We cleared our calendars for the weekend from everything except a small baby "toy" shower that a friend threw me on Saturday. It was very nice and we received lots of new toys for the baby. Other than that, we spent the weekend relaxing, catching up with things around the house and trying to get the kids healthy again.

Thankfully, they are feeling much better today and can return to Preschool tomorrow as we have a busy week ahead of us.
