Connor's New Belt

Well, Lindsey was a bit sad last night because she didn't get a new belt at Karate. We told her that we weren't sure she was going to test because she just started last week, but she was still disappointed. She did join the class and go through the testing (as practice) but she will have to wait a bit longer before getting her next belt. Here are some pictures of her during class.



Connor did get his new belt and you could see him floating on cloud nine last night. His belt is white with a yellow stripe through the center. His next belt will be a solid yellow one. He did fantastic on his testing and we were very proud of him. We celebrated with pizza and had a great time. Here are pictures taken during his test and during the belt ceremony.









Wayne found out this morning that he is going to be traveling to Alaska next month for work. I was REALLY jealous at first because I have always wanted to go to Alaska to see the glaciers. I may not seem like a glacier watcher, but ever since my college geology class, I've had a thing for glaciers and volcanos. Anyway, I was jealous until I realized it is February and he's going to be SO cold. Not only is it Alaska, but he's going to Northern Alaska. YIKES...he's going to freeze!!
