We Call Her CRAZY!

Wayne and I have an inside joke regarding Lindsey and I’m going to share that with you today! For years, now, we have gotten Lindsey up to go potty before we go to bed. Otherwise, it never fails; she will wake us up within an hour because she needs to go pee. She is always completely out of it when she is up through the night, whether she wakes up on her own or we wake her up. Sometimes she will talk total gibberish and we have NO clue what she is saying. Once, she called me Mrs. Ditty (her teacher) and asked when we were going to do the project. Once, she was walking down the hallway back to bed and raised her hand straight in the air as if she was going to be called on in class. Once, she stood up right out of bed and then fell straight forward flat on her face. Two nights ago, I went in there to wake her and take her potty and she was sitting straight up in her bed looking around. Get the idea? When she does this stuff, her eyes are open, but she is totally asleep. Well, this week she has lived up to her “crazy” name once again. When we went upstairs before bed last night, we noticed that our bedroom and bathroom lights were on and both Isaac and Lindsey’s bedroom doors were open. Wayne turned off our bedroom and bathroom lights, checked on Isaac and he was sound asleep in the crib and then proceeded onto Lindsey’s room. She was in bed, sound asleep, and his electric razor was on her pillow next to her in bed. So, he gets her up and takes her potty. Then, after she wakes up a bit, he asks her why she went into Isaac’s room. She says “I didn’t.” So, he asks why she has his razor in her bed. She says “I don’t.” She remembers NONE of it. Seriously…at night…she’s CRAZY! So, that is why at bedtime, I will look at Wayne and say “Do you want to take Crazy to the potty or shall I do it?”
