He's Better

At the end of my last post, I was saying about a storm heading our way. WOW – what a storm it was. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but the thunder was so loud it set off my smoke detectors…isn’t that crazy!! We had hail, rain, thunder, lightening…the works! I was actually scared as I paced the house debating whether or not to wake all the babies and run to the basement for shelter. Just as I had decided to wake them up, a really loud thunder went off and woke Isaac and Rachel…then it went completely calm outside. It was terrifying. So, I got them fed and got Sarah up and fed and just enjoyed the rest of our day. Here are some pictures of the hail. It took less than a minute to accumulate this much.

Friday was fun. Wayne, Isaac and I headed up to Bloomington with Laura, Eric and the girls to look at a few houses they liked. They settled on a great home and made an offer. They found out this morning that the offer was accepted, so they are thrilled. We are very excited for them. Here is a picture of their new home.

We spent most of the weekend outside since the weather was gorgeous. We still had some projects in the yard to finish up. We went on a walk last night and one of our neighbors stopped us and said we should be the ambassadors to the neighborhood because we always have something new outside. We explained that we are just adding some stuff to make the home feel more like ours. We just weren’t fond of the landscaping and wanted to jazz it up a bit. Isaac is walking more and more around and behind things. He pushed his cart all around the yard yesterday. It was cute. Here is a video:

Connor and Lindsey sang in “big people church” yesterday and thought that was so fun. We only did 2 of the 3 services because Isaac needed a nap. They felt really special to get to sing with the other kids. They enjoyed playing outside on the playset and playing with worms. You should have seen them. I told them they better not come near me with the worms because I do not like them. They thought that was funny. I did not. Here is a video of them with their worms:

I took Isaac back to the doctor for a re-check today. He was cleared of his bronchitis and I’m so glad he is healthy again. We have a play date on Wednesday with a new lady I met a few weeks ago. She has a daughter who is 6 and a son that is somewhere between 1 and 2. I can’t remember?? It should be fun.

Here are a few more pictures from when I had the girls last week and of the kids over the weekend. One of them is what my house would always look like if I had 5 kids. There is just NO TIME for cleaning!!

Isaac at dinner last night...What a mess!!

He's finally drinking *some* out of a sippie cup. We've been working hard at this!

Pictures from outside yesterday.
