We're Home...and TIRED!

Wow - that is a long drive.

We made it home from North Carolina this afternoon. We had a great week visiting with friends, but I'm glad to be back to Illinois. I'm not sure what happened to my good car traveling baby. Isaac was so awesome when we drive to Ohio for my Grandpa's funeral last month. I told Wayne that he just wouldn't believe how much better Isaac does in the car. Well...he still doesn't believe it. Isaac reverted back to his old self and hated the car again. About every 5 minutes he would let out this ear piercing scream. So, we did our best to entertain him and keep him happy. The kids even helped out. I think it was because they were tired of the screams!

We saw all our friends back in Franklin. The kids each got to visiting with all their best friends. On the way there, Lindsey said to me "Mom, I can't wait to go back home." It had never really occurred to me that Franklin was "home" to them. But, we moved there when they were so young and it is really all they know except for now. It was pretty cute. We stayed in a very nice Condo for the week, so we didn't have to eat out for all our meals. Isaac isn't really so good at sitting for long times at restaurants these days. But, we did go out for dinner each night and a few lunches.

Tomorrow, I have tons of work to do. All our family is coming this weekend to celebrate Isaac's first birthday. I have lots of spring cleaning yet to do. It's going to be an emotional week...I broke down crying at Walmart today when I was picking out a first birthday card. I'm such a sap! I just can't believe my baby is turning one next week. Sniff...Sniff...

So, If I don't update much...you'll know why....I'm busy running around like a crazy lady!
