The kids had a great Halloween night. They got to hit every house in the neighborhood and got WAY more candy then we need. I had to laugh at some of the neighbors. They have treats for the neighborhood kids and then treats for all the people who drive in just to get candy. I had to admit, it was kinda annoying...our streets were flooded with cars everywhere! Kids were coming in groups of 6-8 from the back of pick up trucks being driven by adults. Most of the were too old to even be out there and they had no manners at all!
Connor was pretty funny. He'd look at the older kids and comment on how they were too old to be trick or treating, or acting rude or just being rowdy. He also remarked on how some people needed to mow their yard. He was hysterical! I kept reminding him that he needed to be nice and polite and not say those things out loud, but I got a little chuckle inside!! He would just reply to me that he was being honest....they were being mean kids. Too funny!
I was annoyed this morning when I looked outside and saw our pumpkins smashed in the road. Apparently that doesn't happen often in our neighborhood, but it did this year. I didn't care about the pumpkins, but our Mr. Potato Head pieces are all pretty much ruined. I went out to get them right away, but most of them had already been run over by cars a few times and are no good anymore. That irked me!
Here are our pictures from Halloween night. Connor was an Army Man and Lindsey was Cinderella. Isaac didn't wear a costume...just a Halloween shirt. I didn't take him trick or treating since he doesn't really eat candy. He stayed behind with Wayne and passed out candy, which he seemed to enjoy.
Hope everyone else had a great night!
Who needs pumpkins when your missing teeth? Lindsey is a real life Jack-O-Lantern!! One of her top teeth feel out at school on Halloween.
