Picture Weekend

This weekend was fun, with the exception of one particular football game last night!!

Saturday morning, we were up early and heading out for pictures. We wanted to get pictures of the kids for our Christmas Cards. Connor and Lindsey took great pictures. Isaac was well behaved and would have taken great pictures if it was possible to get great pictures of a moving target!! We actually got some great individual shots of him by himself, just nothing great with the kids all together. Here are some of our favorites.












After pictures, we did some shopping in Champaign and then went to lunch at Chili's. It was SO yummy and Wayne lucked out because the OSU game was on and he got to watch the end of the first half.

Saturday night, Lindsey and I did our weekly grocery shopping and remembered why we usually get groceries early Saturday morning. It was crazy there!! We spent the remainder of the night watching college football and relaxing.

Sunday started bright and early. I really don't like the time changes...especially in the fall. It has taken me over a year to get Isaac sleeping past 6 AM on a consistent basis and he started Sunday morning off at 5:40. It worked out okay because we were able to get him down for a nap before leaving for church. After church, we got pizza with some friends and then headed home. Wayne and Isaac took a nap while the kids and I worked on a school project. We had to make turkeys. We had a particular way they were to be shaped, but we were to decorate them ourselves. The kids thought it would be fun to make turkey twins, like them. So, that is what we did and each of them did their own design. Connor's was a Peyton Manning turkey...of course. Lindsey's was a dress up princess turkey. Here's a picture.


Isaac has to be the worse climber known to toddler hood! That boy is just plain nutty!! I know have a kitchen table with no chairs. We are storing the chairs in the dining room. He has learned to scoot the chairs all around the kitchen so he can climb on to the cabinets or stove! He has a harder time scooting them on carpet, so that is why they are in the dining room. We just each grab a chair at mealtime! I got a good scare last week when I glanced into the kitchen and he was holding a steak knife!!!! He scooted a chair into the kitchen, climbed on the stove and grabbed out a knife. I did turn the knife holder backwards to prevent this from ever occurring again. Ugh, that boy is always keeping me on my toes!! :)

Both of our goldfish died overnight last night. So, I have to tell the kids when they got home from school today. They will be so sad...I feel terrible. They got ick and we tried to treat it, but they didn't make it. So, we'll probably let them pick out new fish this coming weekend after the tank has been completely cleaned. So, no more Manning and Princess. Who knows what the next names will be?
