Made An Offer

Wayne and I put an offer on a house today. The best part is....it's in the city where we really wanted to live!!! I mentioned in my last post that our realtor was taking us to see a house in the city we wanted to live that was being built by the same builder of the house we really liked on Saturday. We really thought it was too good to be true. We don't like it quite as much as the other house, but we liked it enough and decided it was worth making a few sacrifices in order to get a house in the right town. So, we made an offer. It's a few hundred square feet smaller (2800 vs. 3200) but I really think it will be plenty big!

The house is about 2/3rds of the way to completion, so it should be done by the time we wanted to move at the end of February. It is supposed to be a 3 bedroom home, but they had added a 2nd floor bonus room and when we met with the builder today he assured us that he could add a window and closet to the room without a lot of trouble. Of course, those changes will come out of our pocket! So, it will have 4 bedrooms upstairs. We are going to have the basement finished. That will give it 5 bedrooms all together along with 3.5 bathrooms. It will also have a living room, family room, rec room, dining room and kitchen. It's really a gorgeous house.

The master bath in this house and unbelievable and the kitchen is gorgeous too. I can't wait to see the finished product! We will get to pick all the wall colors, carpets and appliances. We have to go back tomorrow to meet with the builder about any changes we want made and come to an agreement on a price. Apparently negotiations on a partially finished home are very different than a completed home.

I only have one picture and it's not a great shot. Since it is winter and has a long way to go there is obviously no driveway, the sod hasn't been put down yet and no landscaping.
