Annoyed

I should begin by saying I'm thankful that Wayne has a job. All the cutbacks at CAT stink and Wayne seems to be getting affected more than some due to being in a manufacturing job right now. Several weeks ago, CAT told the different divisions that all non-necessary corporate cell phones needed to be turned in. Of course, people took advantage of it claiming they all NEEDED cell phones. So, now CAT is cancelling all corporate cell phone plans. However, some people just have to have a cell phone to do their job. Wayne is one of them. He is never at his desk and there are times every day when decisions have to be made immediately. Well, last night I was annoyed when he came home and told me that CAT is now requiring him to get a personal cell phone that WE have to pay for, but it is to be used for work purposes??!!??!!??!! Are you kidding me???

So, not only are we out a large chunk of money every time he has to take a week of layoff, but now we are expected to use our personal income to supply him with a phone for work. I was a bit miffed and asked him what's next....renting his office space, his laptop, the chair he sits on?? I was annoyed. We have never had 2 personal cell phones because we've never found it necessary. So, now we have to add him to my plan and purchase another phone. Of course, we just got my new phone at Christmas time, so we aren't even eligible for an upgrade/free phone or anything. UGH!!!!!

I really shouldn't be so angry, as we are well compensated by CAT. It just gets on my nerves.
