The kids and I got back from Ohio on Saturday afternoon. The drive home wasn't as good as the drive there, but it was still very manageable. I can't really complain. I'm lucky my kids travel as good as they do. I'm glad Isaac has finally started being good in the car!! He was awesome.
We had a great Easter. We headed to church and then home for lunch and an egg hunt. The kids were very happy with their baskets. We had a family nap day, as we were all tired from our busy week and long drive home.
This week, we are back to the daily grind. The kids are back to school and Isaac and I are just hanging out at home. Wayne was supposed to have a week of layoff this week, but they decided to only lay off the production guys and have the management come in to work on some special projects. I'm happy for the regular salary this month, but would have enjoyed Wayne's company this week. He was disappointed too.
Tonight is Connor's first soccer game for the spring season. He is really looking forward to the game. I'm hoping to go if I think Isaac will be in a cooperative mood.
I spent the morning cleaning out the garage, which will be a pleasant surprise for Wayne, but I'm so sore form lugging that stuff around. It does look so much better now. I'm having a garage sale next week, so I had to clean it out. It amazed me how trashed our garage gets during the winter! If I could only teach my kids and husband to put things away when they are done with them... Yeah right!
