Some day, I hope to live in a house long enough to get it the way I want it and have several years to enjoy it before we move again!! We have been really busy landscaping the back of the house this weekend. We spent all day yesterday digging up sod. Wayne put down about half the brick edge around the flower beds while I took down the lattice under the deck that I wasn't happy with. It was hot, sunny and exhausting! We were so tired and sore last night that we could barely move. But, the work wasn't done yet.
Today, Wayne put down the rest of the brick edge around the flower beds while I took the three kids and went plant shopping. I'm amazed that I was able to buy the exact amount of flower I needed for a good price with three kids in tow. They were very well behaved!! I did have Wayne pick up a tree that we will have to return. I wanted another weeping cherry, but the one we bought today is very different than our other one and it will get WAY too big. So, we'll have to return that tomorrow. I also got the bottom of the deck stained where I took the lattice down.
Tomorrow, we hope to get the new flowers in the ground. I also hope to get my house cleaned as it has been neglected all weekend since we've been outside so much.
This week, we've been tossing around the idea of getting a new truck for Wayne. He wants another Avalanche since they work so well for our families needs. We want to get a barely used one because they are so expensive and we have no desire to spent $40K or more on a new vehicle. It's a hard decision to make, though. One one hand, Wayne's truck is running good and paid off. On the other hand, it is 7 years old and has almost 100K miles on it. I hate decisions like this!!!
One more quick story. I have to praise Lindsey...Tonight, We got the kids to bed and I went go jump in the shower as Wayne ran to the store. I had just gotten the shampoo in my hair as Isaac runs in to tell me he needs to go #2. So, I told him to go get Lindsey and have her come in the bathroom. She took his pants off and he went to the bathroom. He finished going potty and Lindsey told him to bend over so she could wipe his bottom...what a good sister!!!! I had just gotten out of the shower as they were finished, so I thanked Lindsey about a million times and got them both back to bed. She's such a good girl!!!

I cleaned from 9-10 last night. I couldn't take the filth any more and didn't want to wake up to muddy floors one more day!
