Sick Again

I was a little frustrated with the kids school yesterday. Connor had a picnic at the park with his class and instead of playing he spent the entire time on a bench because he wasn't feeling well. Upon his return to school, he again told his teacher he was sick. She sent him to the nurse, but because he didn't have a fever, she sent him back to class. He waited a little while and told his teacher again that he didn't feel good and she sent him back to the nurse. They finally called me and I immediately went to get him knowing he must feel lousy because he would never complain of not feeling well at school unless he really felt bad. As soon as I got there, his eyes teared up and he said he wished I would have come sooner. Me too!!! He looked terrible. I got him home, I took his temp and he did indeed have a fever, so I'm not sure what was going on with the school thermometer. I could tell he felt bad because when we got in the car he asked if he could go home and go to bed. He slept for about an hour. It is extremely out of character for Connor to complain or go to the nurse and he's only missed 3 days of school when he had strep recently. I just think the school could have contacted me sooner rather than make him stay in school for 2 more hours feeling crappy. This morning, his temp is up over 101, so I think I'm going to run him to prompt care when they open.

We are going to have a busy weekend around here, but we're looking forward to it. We are watching Sarah and Rachel for the weekend while Eric and Laura go to a wedding in St. Louis. Eric is in the wedding. It will be more hectic having 3 two year olds in the house, but they all play together so nicely, so I think it will go well. Isaac is beyond excited for the girls to come!! He talked about it all night last night.
