Need to Unwind!

I apologize if I sound like a glass half empty kind of girl tonight. I'm not feeling incredibly encouraged this evening.

So, my mom has surgery on her skull only 4 days ago where they removed a tumor and inserted a titanium plate and now her worst problem is that she can't go to the bathroom!!!!!!!!!! At about 5 PM last evening, I decided we would wait no more. She was getting sicker by the minute and after 3 solid hours of vomiting I was done trying to get through this on our own. I'm so glad we took her to the ER when we did because within 1-2 hours she was in so much pain that she was in tears asking someone to just shoot her. My mom has an incredible pain tolerance, so I know she was hurting so bad. It just broke my heart! They admitted her for a bowel obstruction. It isn't 100% blocked, but it is blocked enough that nothing is passing through and is therefore coming up instead.

I was not thrilled with the treatment, or lack there of, she received today. It just seems like they should be doing more, but maybe these things just take time and I'm being impatient. I just want my mom feeling better and back at home. She had an NG tube inserted overnight and that did remove a ton of fluid from her belly, but that's about all. Nothing is moving like we need it to... She is also running a fever and obviously her head wound is still really painful.

Enough about that. Please say a prayer for my mom tonight that she would get better soon. Please say a prayer for myself and my family for patience and strength. We are all feeling pretty weary tonight. I'll be back at the hospital all day tomorrow...unless something happens and we get discharged.
