Confused

This influenza bug is frustrating!! Lindsey was so, so sick on Thursday. Friday she seemed to be making a turning point. Her fever was much more under control and we were able to drop down to just Motrin every 6 hours or so. She went from 8 PM Friday night to around noon Saturday with no fever and then it came back and has been go up since. By last evening, we were back to alternating the Motrin and Tylenol again and she was up at 5 AM with a temp around 101. Now, that is still nothing compared to the super high fevers she did have, but it is frustrating that they are going up again. So, today she has been banned back to her bed and has to rest. rest. rest!!! Maybe she just overdid yesterday??

So she won't be in school on Monday for sure and Tuesday is probably unlikely as well. I kinda want her 48 hours fever free before sending her back just because I don't want her going back too soon and catching something else before her immune system is stronger. Maybe the doctor was right and it will be Thursday before she can return? She's already been sick for 6 days! This flu bug stinks!!

On the bright side, no one else is showing signs of it yet. Wayne has a head cold, but he says that is it. He's not running a fever or having any of the other symptoms Lindsey had. Just a lot of congestion in his sinus area.
