St. Louis - Day Three - City Museum

We debated for weeks whether or not we should go to the City Museum or the Children's Museum. We had actually settled on the Children's Museum until we got down to St. Louis and all the locals kept telling us to go to the City Museum instead. I'm glad we did!

The City Museum in St. Louis is like nothing I've ever been to before! It's not really like a real museum. It's like a HUGE indoor/outdoor jungle gym. Everything has been made with recycled materials within the city limits of St. Louis. They have old planes, buses, anchors, rail road ties...you name it...we probably saw it there. It was absolutely amazing how they turn these industrial supplies into such a fun and fabulous place.

Inside there are probably 15+ stories of caves, tunnels, stairs and slides to explore. There was also a really fun skate park type area...except you don't use skates.

Outside is just hard to explain. So many things to climb up and explore. My kids had a BLAST! They enjoyed this more than the zoo. Here are pics from that day.
