We went back to the pediatrician again yesterday and had Isaac's bilirubin checked again. He's doing much better! Last Thursday, his level was 16.9 and that is when they ordered him on the bili blanket. That's a pretty high level. Saturday, it was down to 14.5 and yesterday is was down to 12.1. So, he is off his bili blanket...for now. We go again on Wednesday to have it checked again and as long as it is 12.1 or lower still, he gets to stay off the bili blanket. I look forward to when they can stop checking the level. His little feet have been stuck 14 times already and his heals are looking so sore!
He was almost back up to birth weight yesterday too. The lowest he had gotten was 6 lbs 12 ounces and yesterday he was 7 pounds 3 ounces, so only 2 more ounces to go.
He didn't sleep as good last night for some reason. Well, he slept great the first half of the night and then wanted held the second half of the night. So, we'll have to work on that because I'm not going to hold him all night just so he can sleep. He'll have to get used to his own bed.
We're going to attempt to go to the park this morning when it warms up. The kids have a weekly play group of moms from my bible study. Isaac still needs the indirect sunlight to help his jaundice, so it should be good for him.
