Messy Baby!

So, Isaac liked baby food, then he hated baby food, then he loved baby food, now he dislikes baby food...I think!!! This kid is driving me nutty when it comes to baby food. For the past few days, he will only eat if you let him grab the spoon and try to feed himself, which results in a huge mess. These were taken after only a few bites today:


So, after taking these pictures, and seeing that little dimpled smirk on this cute little face, I reminded myself that HEY - I'M THE MOM...I'M IN CHARGE. I took away the spoon and decided either he would eat with me feeding him or not eat baby food at all. My new feeding policy!! Well, he was pretty darn mad for a while, but finally caved in and ate because I was feeding him his favorite food. Want to know what his favorite food is? Brace yourself.....The kids LOVES prunes!!! Mixed with other fruit, you ask? Nope, straight prunes. Loves them. Silly Isaac.

Connor and Lindsey had karate last night, so we took a few pictures before we left. Tomorrow night they have their first test for their next belt, yellow belt. I'm surprised that they are letting Lindsey test with the rest of the class since she just started last week, but from the way they were talking, I think she is going to test tomorrow as well. We'll see for sure. Connor is really excited to get his yellow belt and a little nervous about the test. He'll do great. He really knows what he's doing.


Tomorrow morning, I'm going to the kids school to volunteer and Wayne is heading up to Peoria for the day. Lucky for me, he doesn't have to stay overnight this time!!
