Time to Baby Proof!

Isaac isn't crawling, yet, but he sure is getting around. That boy is scooting himself all around the house. Today, I had him in the middle of the living room with a pile of toys. I went upstairs to put away some laundry and when I came back down he gone all the way across the room and onto the ceramic tile by the laundry room to play with dirty clothes. YUCK! Then, I found him trying to grab at an outlet. So, I decided it was time to get started on baby proofing the new house. I picked up some outlet covers at Walmart. I bought 2 packs of 40. I thought that would be plenty. Well, I ran out and didn't get done. So, I need to get more outlet covers next time. Seriously...who needs that many outlets??? I also bought a pack of cabinet locks. I don't plan to lock all the cabinets, but I do want to do the ones with cleaning supplies and breakable items inside and we'll see how he does. If he gets into everything, we'll lock up more. I searched last night for a baby gate so I can gate off one large room somewhere in this house to use as a main play area for him. Ugh! My baby is starting to move. I'm just not ready for this. They only stay little for such a short amount of time...

Lindsey is starting Karate today. She is very excited. I went and picked up her uniform this afternoon. After Karate, I have mom's night out with some girlfriends and Wayne has an evening alone with the kids. What a great husband...watching the kids when Ohio State has the National Championship game. All the kids go to bed around 7-7:15, so they should all be tucked in by kick off. I'm hoping to be home relatively early because I want to watch the game too. The kids are all decked out in their Ohio State gear today and our flag is outside hanging proudly. Someone in our neighborhood joked that it was a $50 a day fine to hang any flag other than U of I, so Wayne joked back to bring on the bill.

That's about it for us. One last time this year:

GO BUCKEYES
