Isaac and I left Illinois with my parents yesterday and arrived safely at their house last night. Isaac, who is known for his hatred of the car, did pretty good on the drive. He didn't sleep much...about a total of 2 hours all day, but he was not too bad. I'm thankful! However, it didn't take him long to follow in the footsteps of his siblings visits to Ohio. He has already caught what we have always referred to as "Ohioitis." My kids always get sick when we come here and I never know why!
Issac woke up crying around 2 AM and as soon as he touched me, I could tell he was burning up. His temp was 102.8, which is the highest fever he's ever had. He was up for about an hour and a half and finally fell back asleep around 3:30. Poor Guy. He slept until 9 AM, which was nice for me. I never get to sleep in that late. I was pretty tired, though. My mom woke me up a little before 9 to tell me the time because she had scheduled me an appointment for 10 AM to get my hair done. So, I fed the baby, got ready and rushed out to the salon. I felt bad leaving Isaac because his fever was up over 102 again and I have no idea, yet, what is wrong with him. But, my mom encouraged me to go ahead and go. My hair looks great and Isaac is napping, so I haven't seen him since getting back home. I wonder if his fever is from teething because he just got a tooth on Friday and has 2 more still coming in, but that fever seems a little too high for teething. I thought teething fevers were in the low 100 range. Ah, who knows?!?! If he starts showing symptoms of something or continues running this unexplained high fever, I'll have to take him to the Urgent Care by my mom's house. I want to be sure his ears are clear since we have to fly home on Saturday. I wouldn't want to risk putting him on a plane with an ear infection. He isn't pulling at his ears, but Connor and Lindsey never did that either. I haven't had a lot of ear infection experience, though. The twins maybe had 4 total ear infections between the two of them.
No plans for today, obviously, since Isaac is sick. I may go tonight, by myself, to see my Grandpa at the nursing home. His health hasn't been good the past few months, so I want to be sure to spend some time with him this week.
No pictures, as I can't download here at mom's house. Well - also because I haven't taken any! :)

I'm glad you guys made it safely! I can't wait for you to come back home so we can get our words in.
I hope Isaac feels better soon!
Just thought I let you know that we've found out that there is a cold/virus bug going around were you run a 102 to 105 fever. AJ had it last week and Monica got it this week.
Thanks for letting me know. His fever is better now, but he has a bit of a rash? Who knows what he's got. At least he isn't acting sick. He's cranky, but he's getting tons of new teeth right now.
