Dr. Appt. Update

Isaac saw the doctor this morning. She couldn't believe how large some of these hives were. They are just a classic case of hives, she said. Not much can be done about those. So, he's going to be taking Benedryl until they go away. The only new food he's had recently are these Gerber Graduate Cereal Bars with bananas and strawberries. She said many kids get hives from strawberries, so we are to stop giving him those. That stinks because they are one of the few foods he seems to like that are actually halfway healthy for him. I can't seem to get him off of baby food because he won't eat any cut up fruits and veggies. Anyway, his cough is just a cold for now, which I assumed. So, if it gets worse and starts having that constricted croup sound, I'm supposed to call her and get him in to get started on the treatments.

I'm working hard on trying to get Isaac on a sippy cup now. He's 10 months old and just doesn't get it!! Connor and Lindsey wouldn't use them at this age either. He's still mostly breastfeeding, but needs to be getting some water or juice each day, as well, and I don't want to start giving him a bottle for that. Hopefully he'll catch on soon.

Connor and Lindsey will be home from school before long. They have karate tonight and that's it. I'm sure they will want to go outside for a bit and play. The weather has been a bit nicer this week, so we've been spending more time outdoors.
