Day Five: St. Johns, Antigua

Antigua has 366 beaches, so you could go to one beach every day for a year and still have one left over. Today was definitely our best excursion. We were up early and heading out on a catamaran to go snorkeling. We were a little nervous because it started pouring down rain shortly after getting onto the catamaran. We waited out the storm and then headed to a reef. I was pretty nervous to snorkel because last time I snorkeled (about 12 years ago in the Bahamas) a huge eel swam past me and scared me. But, I decided to give it another shot. Wayne and I swam around together for a while and then we got separated when he decided to swim to the other side of the reef. I got sidetracked by a jelly fish that was swimming my way. Shortly after that, I decided I'd had enough and headed back to the catamaran. Wayne stayed into the water until they called everyone back to the boat. He said he was swimming right over top a huge stingray. I'm glad I wasn't still in the water for that. I would have been terrified!! I wish I was more adventurous.

After snorkeling, we went to the beach for a bit. We spent the afternoon at the pool on board the ship until dinner. We went to the evening show after dinner and then we went to the 70's Disco Street Party in the Promenade. It was fun. Wayne and I did the car wash down this huge row of people. I was so embarrassed! After the disco party, they had the big Gala Buffet. Oh my goodness, the food looked amazing. We didn't eat much because we weren't really hungry, but we were so impressed with the appearance of it all.
