We arrived in San Juan on time with no flight delays or cancellations...which was much better than the trip home! We had a little glitch as Wayne left his book on the plane and didn't realize that until we were outside the airport. So, he had to get a special pass to go through security and back to the gate. Took him 30 minutes, but he found his book. We took a cab straight to the pier and checked in. I was amazed how organized the check in process seemed. They got people on that boat very quickly. We were starving, so as soon as we checked out our stateroom, we got something to eat.
We were only done eating about 30 minutes when it was time for the Muster Drill. That is where they make everyone put on their life jackets and head to their places in case we would have an emergency at sea. After that, we headed to the first nights dinner. I wasn't very hungry since we had eating such a late lunch, but you have assigned times and tables for your dinner.
We had a great group of people at our table, so we were very lucky. We made some great friends...HI BETH & CANNON...and spent a lot of the week hanging out with them. After dinner, we attended a show and a welcome parade on the main promenade on the ship. It was a late night, but only the first of many late nights to come!
