Home Stretch!

It's been so nice having Wayne home for the weekend. He sent me out shopping (alone) yesterday morning and it was so nice to have some time to myself. I even got myself some new clothes...and Starbucks! Can't beat that!!

Wayne talked with our builder last night and things are really coming together at the house. It seems like all the electrical and plumbing are finally done. The main level and second floor seem to be almost 100% done. They just need to paint 2 bedrooms, where we had some modifications made, and that's it! Tomorrow the appliances are supposed to be delivered. The basement has been primed and the trim carpentry work should be done by Tuesday and then they will put the final coat of paint on the basement and then all they have to do is lay the carpet, which is already at the house ready to be installed. So, we should DEFINATELY be able to move next week! What a relief. The only thing that may not get done before the move is laying the concrete. The temperature hasn't gotten high enough for the ground to thaw so they can grade the yard and pour the driveway, porch and front walkway. Wayne has talked to the moving company and they can still move us in without the driveway. So, we may be parking on the street for a few weeks, but we don't mind if it gets us reunited in the same house again!

I'm hoping to take Connor and Lindsey to the new school this Friday for a tour. Right now, I have one scheduled for Thursday because that was supposed to be the day we closed. But, since we aren't closing until next week, I want to change it to Friday because we only have a half day of school down here. They are really anxious and nervous to see their new classes and teachers.

I'm going to go join the boys for a game of football in the dining room. It's going to be a shame when we don't have that empty room anymore!! We love playing in there!!
