Returning to the living...

It looks like I had respiratory influenza last week. My doctor didn't test me for it because at the time of my appointment I hadn't had fever/chills/or muscle aches. However, I did get all of that after seeing her. Unfortunately, it looks like I passed it on to the teenage girl, Amber, who has been coming over in the evenings to help me with the kids. I feel terrible because she is such a sweet girl. She sounded so sick when she called me today. Her doctor actually ran the test and said she definately has influenza. Poor thing...I think I'm going to take her flowers tomorrow.

I'm about 90% recovered now. My voice is still a bit raspy and I have a lingering cough and congestion, but nothing compared to last week. I was so miserable!

Today the kids and I went up to see Mary and her kids. They all played so nicely together. Connor went with me to the new house in the afternoon to meet with Wayne and the closet organizer lady. Our meeting with her went great and it was fun planning all of our shelving for the house. I was a bit disappointed that the house isn't further along. The basement is making tons of progress. They finished mudding the drywall today. However, there is still a lot of plumbing and electrical work that needs done on the main levels in addition to finishing the basement work. We are giving serious consideration to moving our closing back a week. The builder is supposed to call us in the next day or so to tell us if he really thinks he can have the house done by next week. Right now, the movers are scheduled to come in exactly one week. We'll just have to see how this week goes... We are so anxious to get the move done!
