Influenza strikes again!

Yes, you heard me right. I've got influenza again. I had a stuffy nose and sore throat yesterday, but nothing serious. I woke up feeling the same today and noticed I was sneezing a lot. Well, about 1:00 I was freezing cold and thought I might be running a fever. The thermometer was in Isaac's room and I wasn't going to wake him just to take my temperature. So, when he got up at 3:00, I took it and it was 102. By this point, I was achy all over and had chills. I felt pretty bad. I called my doctor about 4:00 and it was too late to get an appointment, but the nurse thought it was probably influenza and wanted me to go to prompt care. They did the nasal swab and it came back positive. They said I'll have this for up to a week. They gave me that Tamaflu stuff, so I hope that helps. My insurance didn't cover it and it cost me $105, so I hope it does something!

It's crazy, we've been here 6 days and between Isaac and I, we've been to the ER, doctors office and prompt care already! Let's hope we're done for a while. I know influenza is very contagious, so I hope I don't spread it to my family. The doctor said I wouldn't be contagious until I started running a fever, which was today. So, I'm planning to stay home for several days. Unfortunately, we have tons of people coming and going each day getting stuff done on the house. The builder was here today and said we may have a driveway by the end of the week!!
