Today we are back to reality! Connor and Lindsey headed back to school and Wayne is back to work. The kids first day of school went really well. They seem to like their teachers and both came home talking about making new friends. During dinner, Lindsey said "Tomorrow, I'm sitting with Connor at lunch. I wanted to sit by him today, but he didn't save me a seat." Connor replied "I don't want to sit by her. I want to sit by my new best friend Bryce." It was funny. I'm glad they had a good day and are making friends. What a relief!
Isaac's laceration looks a little odd tonight. I'm not sure if it is trying to make a scab or if it is getting infected?? He was running a low temperature tonight, but that could be his teeth too. I think he's about to get his 2 year molars. He goes to our new doctor tomorrow for a follow up, so I'm glad. They can let me know if it's healing okay.
Today was another busy day. We're done unpacking and most things are organized. We still have some work in the basement and garage, but that will get done eventually. We hung a few pictures today and broke a few too. Oops! We'll just add that to the growing list of things our movers broke. We've never had so many items damaged during a move as we have this time. They did a terrible job packing us and our damage claim will be well over $1000, I'm sure. Ugh!
I also had Stanley Steamer out today to seal the ceramic tile on the kitchen floor, 3 bathroom floors and 2 tiled showers we have. It looks fantastic and tonight when Isaac dumped his pasta and sauce got on the grout...it wiped right off with a paper towel. Awesome!!! Well worth the money I paid.
Tomorrow, we have the builder coming back to the house. They need to re-insulate some of the house because our water pipes froze the other night. We need to go over a list of items that need completed and/or repaired. We also have the cable guy coming to hook it up and Sears is coming to fix our new range. When I turn on one of the burners, it either doesn't get a flame at all or it gets a flame that is 6-8 inches high and looks like a campfire in the kitchen. Not good!
