WOW!

I didn't realize until this morning that I haven't posted in such a long time! The weather has been nicer and we've been spending a lot of time outdoors because Isaac loves being outside! I'm so thankful for our cul-de-sac!!! We can play out there for hours. Our sod is still pretty wet because we water it so much so it will take root. Hopefully we'll be able to start playing on it and watering less very soon. Tomorrow we get our fence installed and then all our yard work is done...at least for this year!

Last weekend was spent redoing our dining room table. It was a beautiful oak table we bought about 9 years ago. We planned to refinish it and stain it cherry and at the last minute, we chickened out and painted it black. It actually looks pretty nice and I think it will be done tonight. Unfortunately, I had some ideas of how I wanted the dining room and I had to throw them out the window and start from scratch, but I think it's going to look great when it's done.

Isaac has started talking more in the past week. He's saying "me" and "go" and is definitely trying for more and more Independence. It's annoying at times, but cute. He spent 30 minutes trying to get his coat off yesterday because he refused to let me help him. Every time I'd try to show him how to get his arms out, he'd yell "me...go" and push me away. Such a stinker! He is doing great in his toddler bed. He hasn't gotten up once, so I'm thrilled.

Connor and Lindsey are almost done with first grade. Only a few weeks to go. Connor is enjoying his first season of baseball and is looking forward to having some family come and watch his games this summer. I just got Lindsey signed up for summer gymnastics. We have some other summer activities planned as well, so it should be a fun summer.
