Tired - Quick Update

I'm in Ohio. My grandma is very sick and I flew home on Monday evening to see her. I'm so fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family to take care of my kids while I'm here. I've been spending most of my days and late into the nights at the hospital trying to help care for Gran and be a support to my family. Gran is having her good and bad moments. She is in heart failure and her lungs are compromised. She is pretty uncomfortable as her body is swelling with Carbon Dioxide. Today she was hallucinating, which was sad. But, she also has her good moments and we can talk with her.

I'm missing my kids today. I've felt a bit emotional. I think part of it is sleep deprivation! I've only gotten a few hours of sleep the past 2 nights. I took Sam, my niece, shopping for a graduation outfit last night and have promised to take her shoe shopping tonight because we haven't found any to match her outfit. It's good for all of us to get a little time away from the hospital here and there. Sam is extremely close to Gran, so she is very sad. She's a good girl!

Thanks to Wayne, Mary and Laura for allowing me this time away to be with my family. Without your help I wouldn't have been able to get away to Ohio.
