New Patient Appointments Rant

There are some things about moving that just stink. So, today I'm going to rant a bit. In order to get set up in the hospital system here, we had to set up specific "new patient appointments" that were not to be combined with any other wellness or sick visit. Our insurance does not cover these appointments AT ALL and they cost $205 each. So, for a family of 5, it is going to cost us $1025 to get set up with our new doctor. That annoys me!!! We've always had to have a new patient appointment with our doctors in the past, but they always mark them as a regular visit and insurance foots the bill. This time, we are not so lucky. I *think* I may get away with not having to do this for Isaac due to him having all those injuries when we moved. However, that cost us enough on its own. I'll know for sure on Friday because that is when his new patient appointment/2 year check up is scheduled. Yes, they let me combine these appointments with special permission from our doctor...whatever! However, he's already seen our doctor many times, so it's not really a new patient appointment for him. Okay, I feel better...RANT OVER!

So, today Connor and Lindsey had their new patient appointment physicals. Connor was 3 foot 11 inches tall and weighs 52 pounds. Lindsey was 3 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 53 pounds. So, they continue to be very close in size.

Mary was nice enough to watch Isaac while I took the kids to their doctor visit. She let us bring this stroller home because Isaac loves it. It's all he's played with today. He loves pushing Lindsey's doll around the house. Right now, he's pushing around his Bob the Builder doll.




Tomorrow, Lindsey has gymnastics and Isaac starts a new toddler mommy and me tumbling class. I hope he cooperates!!!
