We've been back home for about a week now and things are finally back to normal around here. It amazes me how much catching up I have to do when I'm gone for 2 weeks. I've been busy returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, paying bills and just getting the kids back in our normal schedule of life. We've had a fun week. The kids have gotten back to their weekly activities and we've been to the library to get more books for the summer reading program. Tonight I'm going out to dinner with Mary, so that will be a nice break!
Yesterday, Isaac underwent his early intervention evaluation. He was recommended for speech therapy at his 2 year check up, so they came to test him yesterday. Big surprise...he qualifies for speech therapy. I knew he would since he barely talks still. Apparently there is up to a 4 month waiting period for services right now, so it may be a while before he actually gets started. The good news was, he tested at or above age level for all other areas except expressive vocabulary. So, once we get him talking...we'll be good! I was impressed that he tested at 36 months for his motor skills. I told the therapists that it's because he thinks he is 6 and tries to copy all things that his brother and sister do. He has never noticed he is smaller than them.
