Serious Storms

I'm up early today after a very sleepless night. We had so much lightening, thunder and heavy rain last night that I found it hard to sleep. Plus, my back has been bothering me lately...so that isn't helping. I got out of bed about 5:45 because it was so loud outside. I was curious if it was hail. Nope...just heavy rain, but I noticed that the "dry creek" behind our house was nearly flooded into our back yard. So, I had Wayne get up and go check the basement to be sure the sump pump is keeping up. Everything was dry, so that was a relief. I think I may just get dressed and head into Walmart to get my Saturday morning grocery shopping done. I was going to wait until the rain stopped, but it looks like it's supposed to do this all day.
