Sorry...I've been MIA for the past few weeks. It took forever for Isaac to finally get over his most recent illness and then we headed to Ohio and then we had to get ready for a houseful of company for Thanksgiving weekend. You get the idea...we've been busy!
So, Isaac finished his antibiotics on Saturday. He was totally fine from Sunday through Thursday, but woke up blazing hot again on Friday morning. So, the only money I spent on the biggest shopping day of the year was a $12 co-payment at Urgent Care and $5 prescription for antibiotics. Apparently, Isaac didn't get rid of his ear infection and it was back in full force. His fever is down lower today, but not completely gone. We changed antibiotics this time around, so hopefully it will get his ear all better.
Last weekend, we made a quick trip to Ohio to visit with Wayne's dad and Grandma June. We were supposed to go to her house for Thanksgiving, but she had a fall and broke her hip the week before, so we visited her in the hospital instead. She seems to be recovering very well, so I'm happy for that.
Wayne has been off work all this week, so that has been awesome. Tuesday, Isaac had school, so Wayne and I did some Christmas shopping and we had a nice lunch. Wednesday, we all went to the school and had lunch with Connor and Lindsey. They were happy to have us there.
On Thanksgiving, Uncle Doug, Aunt Lolly and Cousin Tim came to visit. They just left today and it was such a fun weekend! They are so great. The kids will totally miss having extra playmates around. They loved playing with them. We spent a lot of time at Laura's this weekend, too. We celebrated the girls 2nd birthday and Laura's 30th birthday.
I'm looking forward to getting some laundry done tomorrow and just relaxing. We'll skip out on church since Isaac can't be around the other kids in the nursery. Hopefully he'll be better soon and stay healthy this time!
Here are a few pictures of Isaac and Lindsey enjoying all my Thanksgiving baking and the kids making a Gingerbread house with Aunt Lolly and Uncle Doug.
