Snow Day!

I woke up Sunday morning shocked to see several inches of snow on the ground. The weekend was so busy that I hadn't checked a weather forecast in days. We didn't have anywhere to go since Isaac was still sick and we couldn't go to church, so it was a welcome surprise. Wayne was thrilled when I went ahead and gave him his Christmas gift early and let him use it yesterday. He got a snow blower and it did a great job on the drive. He'll be using it again tonight!

It snowed most of the day yesterday and I guess through the night because school was cancelled for today. The kids were thrilled! I thought I'd take advantage of the day with the kids and decorate for Christmas. We got the tree up and put garland and bows along the stairs. I had tons of garland that we used along our wrap around porch at the last house. We don't have a porch like that to use it on here and I hated to let it go to waste. It looks so pretty! We haven't done any outside decorating so far, but we can tackle that when the snow melts!! Wayne isn't a big fan of doing Christmas decorations, but I can usually talk him into it.

I'm glad this is the last year for our Christmas tree. We are definitely buying a new one during the post Christmas sales this year. Our poor little tree is looking pretty sad. My angel is broken, so I'll pick up a new one of those this week too. All in all, the inside is done.

I think Isaac is feeling better again. Maybe it's more of a hope than anything? His fever seems gone, so that's good. I really want him healthy....for more than a week!

Here are some pictures of our decorating...

Oh your house looks so pretty! I can't wait to do mine, but I'm trying to hold off a while due to having a wild boy in the house. Plus, we get a real tree that can get pretty dry if we get it too early. I think we'll go next weekend though!!
