My Poor Baby!

Isaac is truly miserable. He started the day a little after 4 AM and cried hysterically for almost 30 minutes. At that time, it was clear that he was now wide awake with no intention of going back to sleep. So, I brought him down and put on cartoons so he would rest and not wake the kids. About 5:30, he started crying again and woke up Connor and shortly thereafter woke Lindsey. So, it will be an early bedtime for kids at this house tonight.

I called the doctor as soon as they opened this morning and took him in at 10:30. He does have an ear infection and they said probably a viral infection is causing all his cold symptoms. He was exposed to RSV, so that is possible. His temperature was 103.9 at nap time today, which is the highest temperature any of my kids has ever had! It seems awfully high for just an ear infection, but I guess we'll just see. He's been in bed for almost 4 hours now, but has woken up fussing a few times in his sleep and I got him calmed back down. I just feel so bad for him.

Wayne will be gone all day tomorrow at the OSU vs. U of I game and then we're supposed to go to Married Life Live at our church tomorrow night. But, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with a sitter at this point. I'll see how Isaac feels tomorrow, but we'll probably cancel and try to give our tickets to another couple. I'm sad to miss it though.

Better go. Wayne will be here soon...God bless him for coming home early tonight...and I'm heading to get groceries.
