Busy Weekend

What a busy weekend around here! Saturday morning, I headed out and did my early morning grocery shopping at Walmart. I was lucky to run into Mary, so we shopped together for a while. I got home, dumped the groceries and headed out for a massage and haircut...oh ah!! That was awesome! That night, we went to a get together at Wayne's coworkers house.

Sunday was another busy day. We made it to church, despite my stomach feeling totally nauseous. After church, we ran an errand and made it home to do some last minute cleaning and cooking for later that night. I laid down when Isaac napped to see if I would start feeling better. We had company that night. We are finally getting started on our Small Group based on the movie Fireproof. We had a potluck at our house so the families can get to know each other before diving into our marriages. We had a great evening and it was relatively calm despite having 9 kids running loose in the house!

Today, we got up and decided to follow up with our original plans to reward the kids for good report cards. Friday was report card day, but the kids didn't have school. So, they didn't get their report cards. However, I had looked online already and knew that Lindsey had gotten straight A's and Connor had 1 B and the rest A's. So, I told them this morning that I knew there grades and we were going to go ahead and do their reward today as planned. I gave them 3 choices: 1 - Build A Bear, 2 - Movie, 3- Chuck E Cheese. They chose Build A Bear. So, we packed up and headed to Build A Bear. The kids had a great time. Wayne took Isaac home for lunch and naps, while I took Connor and Lindsey to lunch and the dentist. They both had to have some of their sealants redone because they didn't take the first time.

So, that's our weekend in a nut shell. I'd show you the pictures from Build A Bear, but I forgot my camera. I took loads of pictures on my new Blackberry, but I can't figure out how to get them downloaded. So, I'll work on that.

Oh and to update on our furnace. After 6 visits from the furnace company and 2 calls to the builder, to appears that our furnace is just not capable of heating our house when it's that cold outside...plain as that. They should have put in a second furnace when the house was built because our square footage is borderline between 1 or 2 furnaces. I'm not sure yet what is going to happen, but our builder said we'll get it taken care of soon.

Geez, I didn't even remember that it WAS report card day. I guess I'll congratulate Megan tonight!
