What a long week

Is it Friday yet????? Nope...just Thursday. I'm ready for this week to come to a close and hope for a better week next time.

I finished my z-pack today and I'm totally over my strep throat. Yeah!!!!! Isaac is a whole different story. He is still running a fever and yesterday he broke out with hives all over. He is such an odd, sickly boy. He's still got spots, a bad cough and a fever today. This is actually day 7 on the temperature. If he keeps going down this path with the cough, I'd say he's about 1-2 days away from bronchitis. So, today I'm giving him benedryl for his hives alternating with triaminic (just at nap and bedtime) for his cough and motrin for his fever. He's totally drugged up. Poor kid.

Connor, Lindsey and Wayne are all still healthy. Well, Lindsey and Wayne have a cold and cough, but nothing serious...so far! We had a brief visit from Megan, my friend Mary's daughter, today. She was home from school sick and had to go to the doctor. She has Strep. She was so sick that Mary didn't want to have to take her to Walmart to wait on her prescription. Poor thing fell asleep on my sofa within minutes of her arrival and slept until Mary came back to get her.

Wayne's building had their visit from Obama today. Wayne and his co-workers worked hard all week preparing the building for his arrival, but unfortunately most of them were unable to see the President. There were so many politicians and national news media there that they had to limit the number of employees to around 80. So, they did a drawing and Wayne's name wasn't picked. Darn. Oh well...He did get to spend some quality time with the Secret Service on Monday to tour them around the building. Also, yesterday he had to fire one of his employees who threatened the President. He was warned the first time and then did it again the next day, so he is now out of a job. What an idiot!!!
