Isaac and I made cookies yesterday. It was so cute and he had such a good time. He loved putting all the ingredients into the bowl and tasting most of them along the way. He declared brown sugar "not yucky" and the flour "taste okay" and the completed cookie dough "yummy." When we were finished he looked at me and said "Thanks mommy for your help." I'm so glad I could assist him...ha ha!
Lindsey is going to her first sleepover tonight. I've never been a sleepover fan, probably because I didn't like them as a child. I just think there are too many weirdo's in this world to send my kid off to sleep at the house of someone I barely know. However, tonight she is staying with her good friend Ally and we know them well. She is beyond excited about it, but I admit I'm a little sad to send her off knowing she's old enough to go without me...
Wayne, Connor and his best friend, Nolan, are going to a hockey game tonight in Peoria. Connor has declared hockey his third favorite sport and is enjoying getting to learn about the game. He's frequently recording them on the DVR. So, they are looking forward to that.
So, tonight it will just be me and the little guy. We'll probably spend the evening on the floor with cars or trains...or both! That's about all he wants to do these days. I'm always hearing "Mom, play cars with me" or "Mom, play trains with me."
