Child Dedication

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE!!!

Today, at church, we had Isaac dedicated. There were a total of 4 families with kids ranging from a few months old to age 3. Isaac was pretty excited to be in "big people" church, but quickly decided he was bored and wanted to go to "his church" aka the nursery. Luckily, the dedication was toward the beginning of the service, so we could take him to the nursery afterwards. He fussed during pretty much the entire dedication, which was a bummer. Wayne was holding him and he kept saying "want down" or "put me down." But, it was a quick dedication and off to the nursery he went. Here is a picture of Isaac and Pastor Bill after church. Isaac LOVES Pastor Bill. He looks for him each week and always wants to shake his hand.

So, my Mother's Day weekend wasn't full of relaxation or pampering, but we got some much needed yard work done. We dethatched the yard and then bag mowed. I would run the dethatcher while Wayne would rake the clippings because I hate to rake. Then, I would run back over it with the mower. It took a several hours yesterday and today, but it's done. Now we need to reseed again to fill in the spots that are pretty thin. I'm hoping now that our spring yard maintenance is done we can get back to work on the back flower beds!! I'd like to get those done in the next few weeks. I also need to stain the swing set again and the deck...the list never ends. Always something to do...the joys of home ownership!!
