Weekend with the girls

This is my weekend to watch Sarah and Rachel. Eric is in a wedding in St. Louis, so he and Laura went there yesterday and are coming home tomorrow. Things are going pretty good here. The girls aren't really difficult to have around, it is just that 3 two year old present a logistical challenge for even the most organized mom. However, I think we're managing pretty darn good!!!

Yesterday, we played inside for the morning, but after naps we spent about 2 hours outside until dinner time. Then we headed back out for another hour before coming in for the night. Wayne was gone all day at work and all night at softball, so I thought I did pretty good for being on my own. I was pretty tired by the time I got everyone into bed. It stunk that he had to go and coach softball even though Connor wasn't playing due to having strep throat.

Today, we spent the morning inside again because it was a little chilly. Wayne finished putting down the rock, cleaned up the egress windows and trimmed the shrubs...thanks honey for working on your "to do" list. He left just after lunch to go pick up his new truck. He took Connor and Lindsey with him and I stayed home with the little ones. We all (myself included) had an awesome nap. Then, we headed to the park which was a blast. I wasn't sure how it would go with all three of them, but they listened well and did great. We had a snack picnic and played until it started to sprinkle and we came home. We put on about an hour of a movie so I could play catch up around the house, had dinner, played, had baths, had snacks and again...they are all in bed!

Tomorrow we plan to go to church and I think Wayne is going to get out the weed eater and work on that stupid "dry" creek behind the house. We've got to get something done back there...I hate it! It's the only part of our house now that needs some landscape work. It's just an eyesore.

Oh...and Wayne's new truck is pretty darn nice. It's the nicest vehicle he's ever had for sure! Usually he buys me nice cars that are loaded up and gets himself the lower version of whatever he wants. Not this time. I told him to go for it and he sure did. The only thing this truck is lacking is GPS. He wanted that too, but was just having trouble finding the right truck, right color, right miles, right options, right price, etc...he had to be flexible with something, so GPS had to go. Poor guy will just have to keep using that Tom Tom for now...lol!
