Calm before the Storm!

Today has been pretty relaxing. I did yard work yesterday and today I've only cleaned out the fridge. We have company coming for the weekend, but I don't want to clean until tomorrow. I may go get groceries tonight, though, to get that done!!

I feel like we have so much going on. The kids are done with school in 2 days. In 2 days...Connor and Lindsey will be 3rd graders...3RD GRADERS!!!!!!!! When did I get that old??!!??!!??!! Makes me kinda sad, but I'm so proud of them. They are both doing so well at school, which puts my mind at ease over them being the "young" ones in their classes with that darn late August birthday. I think I'm going to surprise them on Friday. They only have like an hour of school...which is such a waste in my opinion...vent over. Anyway, after school, we have to run to the doctor so I can pick up my new shoe insoles. It will be about lunchtime then, so I think I'm going to take them to see the movie Up and have popcorn and candy for lunch. That seems pretty celebratory to me. It will be Isaac's first movie, so I hope he'll cooperate. I'll have to pack him a sandwich to have with his "hopcorn" (how he says it) so he doesn't get a belly ache. I think it will be a nice surprise for them as I have no plan to tell them until we just arrive there.

Then, on Friday we are expecting my parents and Wayne's dad and Madonna. They are coming to celebrate Isaac's 3rd birthday. THREE...ALREADY!!!! My baby is getting so big...so sad. We are celebrating a little early so we can combine it with Lindsey's dance recital on Sunday. It's going to be a super busy weekend, but I'm sure we'll have a really, really good time.

I realized that I never put up pictures of our landscaping. Here is the backyard project we just finished. It's nothing fancy...just a nice, clean perimeter around the back of the house and deck. We still need to get a weeping cherry and mom is bringing me some daylilies to add and it will be done!
