Lindsey funny

This was my conversation just now with Lindsey...

Me: Well Lindsey, it looks like today will be our last full day together.

Lindsey: Why? Are you going on a trip or something?

Me: No silly. You're going back to school tomorrow.


It made me chuckle!! Anyway, the good news is that Lindsey is returning to school tomorrow. She has continued to be fever free (except for one time yesterday) since Sunday night. So, looks like she's done with this influenza bug. She keeps asking me how soon she can go get a flu shot so she doesn't get sick again, so I know she was pretty miserable. What 8 year old looks forward to getting a shot?? I keep trying to tell her that the flu shot doesn't cover both types of flu and doesn't guarantee against anything, but that we will get it later this week and hope it does the job. Isaac will be the only one who still needs a shot and he has an appointment at the doctors office next week. He can't get one where the rest of us went because they only do it for ages 4 and up.

The rest of us remain relatively healthy. Wayne still has his head cold. Connor was sneezing a ton this morning, so I told him if he feels bad at school to call and I'll go get him. Lindsey didn't start with sneezing, so I'm guessing/hoping Connor just has a little cold. Lindsey's started more with coughing and a headache. Then the fever set it.

One more note - Best of luck to day for our neighbors. Today is baby day for them and we hope we are healthy when you get home so we can come visit our new little neighbor boy. Here's to an easy delivery!!! Love you guys!!
