I'm back

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been away from the BLOG for a week. Last week was a bit unpredictable and busy.

Tuesday, The kids and I went up to Peoria to visit with my friend Mary and her kids. We got to see Ryan, her new baby, and he was so precious. It was a fun day and the kids seemed to all have a great time together. Hopefully we can make it up there one more time before school starts.

Wednesday, I dropped Connor and Lindsey off at VBS and Isaac and I headed to the outlet mall to re-buy one of my dresses that was taken from my suitcase. I'm so happy to have it again. We got back just in time to pick the kids back up. I was starting not to feel so great when a friend, Mandi, called to see if the kids and I wanted to go to the library for a kids concert. I declined telling her that Isaac really needed a nap and I wasn't feeling too good. So, she ended up picking up Connor and Lindsey and taking them so I could rest along with Isaac. Around 4:00, I called Wayne and asked him to please come home ASAP as I was starting to feel really nauseous. He got home with not a minute to spare and I spent the rest of the night down with the flu.

Thursday, Wayne stayed home to take care of the kids so I could focus on getting better. I was still feeling achy, feverish and generally wiped out! I was happy to have his help around the house. Connor lost his first tooth today! He was beyond happy about that.

Friday, Connor woke us up about 3:30 AM and he was now sick with the flu too. He didn't seem to have it very bad and was up playing and acting normally by 8 that morning. I was glad it wasn't too bad for him.

Saturday, we went to a going away party for Sensi Muller at the karate gym. He is one of the instructors for Connor & Lindsey's class. He is heading off to college in a few weeks. He got his black belt in like Middle School. Very impressive young man.

Sunday, we headed to church since we were feeling sure that the flu was done in our house. Big news here...Isaac stayed in the nursery the entire service without me!!! This is a first in about 6 months. I always get paged to go back there because he won't stop crying. I think they still had to hold him a lot, but he didn't cry at all. We also went on a family bike ride. It was about 4 miles and the kids did really good. Isaac seemed to like riding on the back of Wayne's bike.

Which brings us to today...Connor & Lindsey started another soccer camp this morning that runs all week. We really haven't done anything since getting home from camp. I've been working on getting ebay auctions ready to go for the kids fall/winter clothes from last year.

We had a ball with you too. We are ready for another visit any time. I might just pack up and head to Mt. Zion for the day here soon, too!
