Last Day of Vacation

We met with Cannon and Beth one last time to have breakfast before leaving the ship. Disembarking the ship was very organized. They give you a number based upon when you are leaving San Juan. Since we were flying out the next day, we were the next to last group (8) to leave the ship. We sat in the piano bar with Cannon and Beth until their number (3) got called and then we explored the ship a bit. I went up to the upper decks to take a peak at some of the suites that are available. I wanted to see the family rooms in case we would ever bring the kids along on a cruise.

Once we got off the ship, we took a cab to our hotel and got checked in. We weren't able to get into our room yet, so we changed and walked down to the beach. When we arrived, we saw police officers all over the beach, a police boat in the water and a helicopter flying above. After several minutes, we asked another bystander if they knew what was going on. Apparently, someone spotted a shark shortly before we arrived. After about 30 minutes, they decided the beach was safe, but we decided to just stay right where the water met the sand...just to be on the safe side.

We stayed at the beach for about 2 hours, then went back to the hotel and swam in the pool for an hour or two. We got in our room, got cleaned up and grabbed a bite to eat. By 4:30, we were in bed!! Too funny. We watched 2 movies on USA and went to sleep by 9:00. I think our busy week caught up with us and we were tired. It was such a great week!
