I've got lots to write and tons of pictures to share...so bear with me! I guess it all builds up when I don't post as often. I've wanted too, but Mr. Demanding AKA Isaac has made it hard to find time to get to the computer.
Thursday night we had storms go through the area. My poor van sure took a beating. It was crazy! The sun was shining as I left to take dinner to a friends house who just had a baby. After dropping off dinner, it was starting to sprinkle and thunder in the distance. But, I needed to run one more errand before going home. I headed up to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions. Just as we stopped a the light outside the pharmacy, it started pouring down rain and the hail started. The drivers side of my van got pelted with hail and has small dents and scratches all down the side. UGH! That will go nicely with the scratch on the other side where it got keyed this summer.
Later that same night, sirens started going off right when the kids were starting their showers. So, we headed down to the basement. Lindsey was yelling "Alert, Alert...A tomato is coming." I cried I was laughing so hard!!! Here are the kids in their "tomato" stance in the basement along the wall. Too funny!
Friday night, we took the kids to get their new fish. They were so excited!!! I got the tank set up on Friday morning, so all we needed to do was add Princess and Manning. The fish seem to be doing good, but they aren't eating very good. Hopefully they are just nervous and will eat better soon.
These are just some other cute shots from Friday night.
Saturday afternoon, we headed out to the pumpkin patch in Arthur, IL. We had a good time and the kids were all really good. Arthur is an Amish community, so we decided to get some Amish cooking for dinner. Unfortunately, the Amish in IL don't cook half as good as the Amish in OH and we left feeling pretty disappointed!! Here are some pumpkin patch pictures.
Yesterday we headed to church and then directly to a birthday party for our neighbors little boy. In the evening, we took a walk and then decorated our pumpkins. The kids wanted to use Mr. Potato Head parts again like last year, which was fine by me. It's much easier than carving the pumpkins!!!
Today started off as a very challenging day. Isaac continues to be such a cranky child. Some days I'm better equipped emotionally to deal with him than others. Today, was rough on me. He is getting his eye teeth now and one popped though overnight. So, I'm sure that has a lot to do with his being extra fussy today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better!!!
On the bright side, I booked a Spa Day for my friend, Mary, and I. She just had a baby over the summer and we thought we could use a day of pampering! I can't wait.

Sorry about Isaac. I feel for you! Just take comfort in the fact that you are an excellent mother and you will get through this trying time.
Thanks Mary! I just keeping reminding myself "this too will pass..."
