We stayed in Ft. Lauderdale overnight because the flights were very expensive the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend. We got to our hotel by 10 AM, so we had the whole day ahead of us. We weren't sure what to do and it was too cool to go to the beach. A hotel employee suggested we take the water bus along the intercoastal waterway, so we did. WOW - is all I have to say. There are some beautiful homes along there. We got lots of interesting history on various homes and learned who owns some of the houses and yachts. We saw a yacht that was auctioned for 130 million dollars. It was incredible. I'm glad we did that. Below are some pictures I took along the intercoastal.
We were sad to end our cruise vacation, but we had a great week! Mom and I seemed to be great travel companions and we hope to do this again sometime. I think I see a cruise in my parents near future!
I was really nervous to fly home this week due to our terrible flight the week before. Any turbulence just made me completely sick to my stomach. I was really happy when we landed and I could get home to see Wayne and the kids. Isaac and I took a nap together and the kids skipped karate so we could have the whole night to relax. They loved their guitars I brought from Cozumel. What a great week!
