Palate Spreader - Take 2???

Today was a super busy day!! I left home bright and early to run a few errands before catching up with Wayne and the kids at the dentist. Isaac was seen by the dentist for the first time and he did really good. The only bummer was that we left the office with another orthodontist referral for Lindsey. Ugh! I was really, really hoping to avoid orthodontic work for her until she was old enough for braces. The dentist said she didn't have the initial crowding with baby teeth like Connor, but as her permanent teeth are coming in she is now starting to have crowding problems. So, she will see the orthodontist on Monday for an evaluation to see if she will be getting to join her brother and have a spreader put on this summer. I figure if she's going to need it, we should get it put on ASAP so I can take them both at the same time for their appointments. There goes another $625!! I'm going to have thousands invested in these kids teeth. The expander is just step one of a four step process. It goes 1 - expander, 2 - retainer, 3 - braces, 4 - another retainer. I'll probably be just about done paying for them in time for Isaac to start the process...LOL!

After the dentist, I headed to the mall to do a few returns and exchanges from my Gymbucks order. It looks like Isaac is going to take after Connor and need to start wearing slim pants now because the 4 regulars I bought him were huge in the waist! He doesn't look super skinny to me, but a size 4 is exactly when Connor made the switch from regular to slim as well. Gymboree's boys pants just seem so huge in the waist. I had bought Connor 4 pairs of 8 Slim jeans from there and I had to return them all because they were still huge on him.

After the mall, I got myself some yummy Panera lunch and headed to get my hair colored and cut. I got bangs for the first time in several years and I'm not sure yet if I like them or not. We'll see...

I got home just as Isaac woke up from his nap and we headed out to the pool. It wasn't too crowded and we had a lot of fun. Tonight, Wayne took the kids to the Chiefs game, so I'm sure they are having a blast.
