We had a fabulous Thanksgiving! Wayne's Uncle Doug and Aunt Lolly came down from Manteno, IL. They are so much fun to be around, so we were pretty much guaranteed a great holiday weekend. Lolly spent much of the day Wednesday doing crafts with the kids. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday and spent much of the day watching football. We did a little shopping on Black Friday and then headed to Normal, IL for my niece's birthday party. After the party, Wayne's dad and Madonna followed us home and stayed with us until Sunday.
On Saturday morning, we did a repeat of something we did last year because Lindsey wanted to start a new Thanksgiving weekend tradition. Steak for Breakfast! Last year, we had filet for breakfast on Saturday morning because Doug and Lolly brought them with them to our house and we hadn't eaten them yet. So we did steak and eggs on Saturday morning. Lindsey loved it so much that she asked if we could do it every year and we thought it sounded like a fabulous, and unique, new tradition. It was delicious again this year, but Wayne was very cold out there on the grill that early in the morning.
By the time we left for church on Sunday, all our family was gone. After church we got out the Christmas decor and went to town inside the house. The tree is up and the stockings are hung. We are ready for Christmas time!!

When we were kids and visited my family in Las Vegas, no matter what time of day or night it was, we headed straight to Arizona Charlie's for their 2.99 steak and eggs as soon as we got off the plane. It's a great tradition!
