Snow Day

It appears we are able to be blasted with a major winter storm. The kids are out of school today. I assume this decision was made not because of the current weather, since we only have about an inch of snow, but on the weather to come. I'm sure they didn't want to have to close school early due to bad weather at the end of the day.

We had a great weekend. It was pretty relaxing. We worked on the kids valentine boxes and got them suit coats for their social studies presidential wax museum that is coming up in a few weeks.

Lindsey got an awesome letter from her piano teacher over the weekend. He told us that he sees so much potential in her and that even though he is going to have to drop more students as his school schedule picks up, he wants to keep her as a student. He plans to teach lessons for another 18 months and then he'll be heading off to college, but he wants to help us transition to a good teacher because she is doing so well. That made me feel very proud of her. Now, if she would just be more motivated to practice without me nagging her!! That would be just too much...LOL!
