Working Weekend

The first week of school was a success. The kids both like their teachers and their classes. Connor has one boy in his class that he is bothered by, but I've just been trying to encourage him to be polite to him and stay away from him as much as possible.

Connor has also had his first week of full contact football practice. He's doing well, but he is definitely concerned about getting hurt or hurting someone else, so he's not doing as good as he could. He gets a bit tougher each night and says he is having fun. Hopefully it will get easier on him each week.

Lindsey starts soccer practice tomorrow night. She is excited, but nervous to have a new coach. Wayne has always coached her when she has played. I think this will be a great experience for her as she tends to complain to Wayne and she would never do that to someone else. I need to call the park district office tomorrow night because we still haven't heard from Isaac's coach to see when his soccer practices begin.

This weekend has been pretty low key. Wayne has done a lot of work around the house that has been put off for a while. I'm glad to have some of those chores done! This fall is going to be very busy for us and once soccer and football games start in a few weeks he is going to have very little time to do much of anything around here!

We are looking forward to a trip to St. Louis for labor day weekend!!! We are planning to go to the Reds/Cardinals game, go to the zoo and visit the children's museum. I'm sure we'll do some other things too, but these are our "must do" activities!! Should be a fun trip.
